Hylas, a member of the Praetorian Guard, is on duty at the palace of the cruel and paranoid Emperor Domitian.

As with his previous book, Season of the Gladiatrix was written with elaborate research which makes the reader feel as if they are put back to the time of the Roman Empire. The characters are even better built up than the previous book and I just love the gladiatrix Aria with her high spirit and fun loving nature. Of course, the book is also packed with sections that keep readers sitting tight, fearing the worst for the hero and those dear to him. I could hardly put down my kindle once having started reading it and I eagerly look forward to the next book of the same series to come out.Highly recommended

Engaging but not really top quality, in my opinion.
Great Roman story with lots of travel, some violence, palace intrigue and more. But read book 1 first! I love gladiators!
I was not disappointed in this continued saga it was exciting from start to finish will be checking to see if another follows.
This book was definitely more well plotted and likeable. The settings were more evocative and realistic. The protagonist was much more interesting.
I just couldn't get into the storyline.
I really enjoyed this one! Fell in love with his Praetorian Guard hero and both of his gladiatrix heroines. Enjoyed this so much I just bought the next one in the series. Hope he's not done with them.
